About the Event

The Award in Emergency First Aid at Work at SCQF level 6 will develop knowledge and skills required to deal with a range of workplace first aid situations.

Learners will find out about the roles and responsibilities of the first-aider and how to assess an incident, then cover how to provide first aid in the following situations:

• an unresponsive casualty
• someone who is choking
• someone with external bleeding
• someone in shock
• someone with minor injuries

This is a regulated qualification which is recognised nationally.

The award is one unit at SCQF level 6 - Emergency First Aid at Work.
